I have assessed manuscripts for leading literary agents and publishers in the UK and Australia, and worked closely with many individual authors, emerging and established.

I have an academic background in English Language and Literature, with a focus on the novel form and narrative theory.

My particular interest as a speaker or teacher is making literary theory and literary-historical knowledge immediately useful to writers and readers.
